How to Use a Selfie Stick
If you’ve never used a selfie stick before, worry not - most of them are simple and straightforward. Despite the variety of brands and models that we’ve listed here, most of their functions overlap with one another; what works for one selfie stick probably works for the next one too.
Step 1 - Connect your phone or camera to the selfie stick
This can normally be done in one or two ways. Most selfie sticks work off of Bluetooth, so connecting your phone is as easy as scanning for your selfie stick and pairing with it. If you’re using a camera or other device that doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth functionality, your stick should come with a short cable that can be connected to the device. This will enable you to use the wireless remote control for your stick.
Step 2 - Place your phone at the end of the selfie stick
Your selfie stick will have a built-in grip or phone holder. You’ll need to place your device in this grip, which is normally adjustable to accommodate a variety of devices. Don’t extend the stick until you’re sure that your device is secured.
Step 3 - Take a shot using your selfie sticks remote control
Some selfie sticks feature a separate remote for snapping photos while others include buttons on the hand-grip itself. Whichever the method, press the button when you’re ready to take a photo.
